The Mars Orbital Vehicle uses a lot of creative building techniques. How did you learn the LEGO techniques that you use?

I am building LEGO sets for more than 25 years now so I think after many years of practice I learned different building techniques. I also do a lot of research on other people’s creations and love to see unique skills and techniques.

How were you able to accurately show space craft features at such as small scale using LEGO pieces?

LEGO has an amazing number of different bricks and pieces. I think I have memorized at least 90% of them, so when I want to build some details I usually have the suitable brick on my mind. Also, when I build some details I try to do it so it’s recognizable and clear what is representing.
